The Digs…
“There are 32,000 girls at-risk here in South Florida. We intend to reach every one of them.” ~ Lindsay
Can you believe this!!!
Taylor’s Closet has moved into new digs! This whole story is wild. The truth is, its really too much to tell here except for two things:
1) God REALLY has his hand in this ministry. And,
2) He REALLY cares for girls who are in need, at-risk, or just not near Him.
Ok, short version: Back in 2008, we met with Pastor Alex Shanks about Taylor’s Closet and the possibility of taking some space in one of their buildings (We were running out of room in our existing space). We were just kind of sitting there chatting when he stops and goes “Hey, here’s an idea … we love what you guys are doing. What if you took over the whole building?”
Wha???
Finally more dressing rooms so our girls won’t have to wait and at last a café so we can cook for the girls … we love good food! Are we really going to have a big enough stock room? YES! No more working out of our bedrooms, we have a real office. Thank you Jesus, you are so good to us.
After months of leases, permits, etc… Construction was completed! The whole project was a walk of faith. It was a big job. An expensive one! We started the project with a $120,000.00 renovation budget and climbed to $250,000.00. ALL DONATED! Over 35 generous individuals and companies here in South Florida came together and helped us, it became a community project. This story is unbelievable and has increased our faith.
Thank you to everyone who partnered with us, we are forever grateful and pray that God blesses each of you. This is going to be monumental.

The Making of the Outside Mural…
Love, love, love the photos that Aura Anthony took of our new space. Aura came four weekends in a row to shoot the girls shopping in the store. She’s basically part of the fam, now. Thanks, Aura! Love you!
Grand Opening of our new home…
Saturday, March 20, 2010, we invited over 200 of our friends, who helped make our new building a reality, to celebrate at our grand opening. We served market fresh cheeses and breads and enjoyed the completion of the amazing new Taylor’s Closet! Check out pics of the night here…
