TC Treats…a little love and hope baked right in
So what is TC Treats?
“TC Treats” is our bake sale initiative geared to inspire young girls to get involved in providing hope and love for girls in need.
Who can be a part of TC Treats?
TC Treats is ONLY for girls’ ages 9-12! If you love to bake, have fun, and want to bring love and hope to girls in need then TC Treats is for you! Girls in South Florida can participate by hosting bake sales to benefit Taylor’s Closet.
Who does TC Treats help?
There are 32,000 girls at-risk here in South Florida and we want to reach each one of them with the love of Jesus. Every time a girl comes into Taylor’s Closet they leave feeling great about themselves, they know that they are loved and they feel important. It costs $32 to clothe one girl. All of the funds raised will be used to reach these girls.
How do I win?
Yes!!! There is one winner every month! The girl who raises the most money at her bake sale and is the most creative with her design and display will win!
Prizes include:
- Feature on our website
- Day at Taylor’s Closet as a Junior Stylist!
- $75 shopping spree to a store of your choice with the Taylor’s Closet staff. (examples: Justice, Franchesca’s, Forever 21, Old Navy, etc.)
All girls that participate in TC Treats are winners! Once you’ve participated you are eligible to be a back-stock volunteer here at Taylor’s Closet.

Can you believe this!!!
Taylor’s Closet is going to be moving into new digs! This whole story is wild. The truth is, its really too much to tell here except for two things:
1) God REALLY has his hand in this ministry. And,
2) He REALLY cares for girls who are in need, at-risk, or just not near Him.
Ok, short version: Several months ago we were meeting with Pastor Alex from Christ Church talking about Taylor’s Closet and the possibility of taking some space in one of their buildings (We’re running out of room in our existing space). We were just kind of sitting there chatting when he stops and goes “Hey, here’s an idea … we love what you guys are doing. What if you took over the whole building?”
Wha???
Finally more dressing rooms so our girls won’t have to wait, at last a café so we can cook for the girls … we love good food! Are we really going to have a big enough stock room? YES! No more working out of our bedrooms, we’ll have a real office. Thank you Jesus, you are so good to us.
So here we are after months of leases, permits, etc. We have begun construction! The whole project has been a walk of faith. It’s a big job. An expensive one! We started the project with a $120,000.00 renovation budget and soon it climbed to $150,000.00. As of July 20th we just have a few small items needed to complete the construction.
Over 35 generous individuals and companies here in South Florida came together and helped us, it’s become a community project. Now we’re moving on to the décor and all the fun details of making this place extra special. We’ll post a list soon of our needs. The stories are unbelievable and have increased our faith.
Thank you to everyone who partnered with us, we are forever grateful and pray that God blesses each of you. We’ll be posting the list of partners soon so check back with us.I’ll post more on the progress on the building project as we go along. This is going to be monumental.
MOVE IN DATE: October 2009
There are 32,000 girls at-risk here in South Florida. We intend to reach every one of them. This new building is a great start at doing just that.
