2011 Christ Church and Taylor’s Closet Ladies Tea

This was our second year participating with Christ Church to host a ladies tea.  It was an amazingly pleasant afternoon with almost 100 women in attendance.  The Ladies Tea raised enough to sponsor 300 girls to shop at Taylor’s Closet.  Thank you to everyone who attended the event!

Ohio Benefit Raffle

It may come as a surprise to you, but there is a group of our family and friends in Ohio who are some of Taylor’s Closet’s biggest supporters.  We are so honored that a group of people in a completely different area of the country believe in what we do!  This year the Valley family in Youngstown, OH hosted a benefit raffle for Taylor’s Closet, and were able to raise enough money to sponsor 158 girls to come and shop. Way to go guys!  Thank you so much to the Valleys for believing in this organization.  Thank you also to all of our family and friends that participated in the raffle.  And the winners were…

2011  NAIOP Golf Tournament

This was our second year participating in NAIOP’s annual charity golf tournament. NAIOP is a commercial real estate development association, and each year they host a golf tournament to raise money for different charities. This year, we received 100% of the proceeds Next year we will receive 75% of the proceeds and another charity will begin the three year partnership with NAIOP, receiving 25% of the proceeds! God is so good in providing through so many different means. It was a fun event and we were so thankful to be working with everyone involved.  Check out some pictures from the event:

Rio Women 5k Walk to Benefit Taylor’s Closet

The pictures & vids are up of our wonderful event, we’re all still recovering from it – but it was so worth all the hard work!

For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about – we just finished our annual Gala Benefit Fashion show. It took place at an airport hangar, and we put on an incredible fashion show for all of our guests. If you can believe, all of the clothes in the show were bought at thrift stores and transformed into today’s top trends by myself and our team of seamstresses and designers!

Whole Foods %5 Net Profit Day

We have been selected to be a recipient for one of their 5% days, which means we will get 5% of the net-profits for that day! Isn’t that crazy!?!?! Plus we get to do a lot of fun stuff in the store that day! So mark your calendars to come shop at Whole Foods in Boca Raton! We will be getting more details to you soon! Who knew grocery shopping could do so much good?

Ipad Raffle

Linda was praying about an idea to raise money we needed for our buidling and programs and God told her to raffle an Ipad. So we did… and it was an amazing idea for sure. We raised enough money to clothe over 150 girls. Thank you Jesus!

2010 NAIOP Golf Tournament

NAIOP is a commercial real estate association, and each year they host a golf tournament to raise money for different charities. This year, we received 25% of the proceeds and Homesafe (another non-profit organization) received 75%. Next year we will receive 100% of the proceeds and the year after that, 75%! God is so good in providing through so many different means. It was a fun event and we were so thankful to be working with everyone involved.

Lindsay had a chance to get up and speak for a couple of minutes and she did a great job. She just shared a little bit about how Taylor’s Closet got started and what we do. It’s funny because speaking to a room full of golfers we didn’t know if they would completely “get it”. However to our surprise when Lindsay was all finished an older gentleman just handed us a wad of cash and his business card. We asked what it was for but he cut me off with a grunt. And that was it. God had touched his heart for these girls and he just handed us cash so we can keep instilling hope and love into girls’ lives. It was an awesome event and we look forward to next year!
